A wine and beer tasting event will be held in Rock Springs later this month.
The 3rd Annual Wine and Beer Tasting Event presented by Kari’s Access Awards and Sweetwater One Foundation will be held from 6 p.m.-9 p.m. on Saturday, January 16th at the Holiday Inn Ball Room in Rock Springs. Tickets for the event are $30 each or two for $50 if purchased in advance. Tickets sold at the door are priced at $30 each.
Tickets can be purchased in advance at the Rock Springs Chamber of Commerce, the Central Administration Building for Sweetwater County School District #1, or by calling 307-871-6039 to make arrangements.
Kari’s Access Awards Chairperson Jessica Maser estimates there will be about 100 different types of wine available for tasting at the event once all vendors confirm their selections. Currently over 60 wines are confirmed for the event. In addition, a variety of beers will be available and appetizers will be served.
A baby grand piano, donated by business owner Andria Whisler, will be raffled off during the event. Raffle tickets for the black cherry Young Chang piano can be purchased at the event and are priced at one for $25 or three for $50.
A small silent auction will also take place at the wine and beer tasting.
Kari’s Access Awards is an endowment fund started in 2006 in memory of Kari Fusselman who was a student at Westridge Elementary, White Mountain Junior High, and Rock Springs High School. The fund provides scholarships for students in Sweetwater County School District #1 to participate in outside programs that enhance learning and personal growth.
