Two men were recently sentenced by a federal judge in Wyoming for illegally entering the United States.
According to a release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office, District of Wyoming, Alejo Mijares-Chaves, 44, and Arturo Bustos-Alcantar, 42, were sentenced for illegal re-entry of a previously deported alien into the United States.
Both men are from Mexico and were arrested in Wheatland, Wyo. They were sentenced on Tuesday by Chief Federal District Court Judge Nancy Freudenthal.
Mijares-Chaves and Bustos-Alcantar were each sentenced to time served plus 10 days and were ordered to pay a $100 special assessment. Both men are subject to deportation upon release from custody.
