The setting sun caused a two-vehicle collision on Dewar Drive Wednesday evening.
According to a representative from the Rock Springs Police Department, the wreck occurred at about 4:55 p.m. on Dewar Drive approximately 200 feet west of the intersection of Dewar Drive and the S. Side Belt Route. The crash temporarily blocked the outside westbound lane, according to police. Lanes were cleared at about 5:25 p.m.
The crash appears to have been caused by the sun, which was at a level that impaired the vision of one of the drivers. This resulted in a rear-end collision.
One passenger was taken to the hospital for an apparent nose injury.
No citations were issued as a result of the crash.
