RSPD Arrests Alleged Meth Dealer

A Sweetwater County man was arrested last Friday after police allegedly found felony amounts of methamphetamine while executing a search warrant.RS Airport

According to a release from the Rock Springs Police Department, detectives from the Rock Springs Police Department Street Crimes Unit executed a search warrant during a traffic stop on the 1600 block of Elk Street at about 9:15 p.m. on April 29th.

Jeffrey Lee Baker, 37 of James Town, was identified as the driver and owner of the vehicle and the person subject to the search warrant.

During the search, detectives allegedly found felony amounts of methamphetamine as well as other items indicating that the methamphetamine was for distribution purposes.

Baker was arrested for alleged Possession of a Controlled Substance-Methamphetamine with Intent to Deliver. He was incarcerated at the Sweetwater County Detention Center.

According to jail tracker, Sweetwater County Circuit Court Judge John Prokos set Baker’s bond at $15,000 cash or surety. Baker was released on Monday and is set to appear in court on May 10th.
