Members of American Legion Archie Hay Post 24 will host several flag ceremonies throughout Rock Springs Monday morning in honor of Memorial Day.
Flags will be brought to half-staff and cannons will be fired at the ceremonies in nonresidential areas.
As is proper U.S. Flag Etiquette, flags will be flown at half-staff until noon.
Two ceremonies will be held at 10:30 a.m. For those ceremonies, different members from the Legion will be at each location.
Below is a schedule of flag ceremonies to take place on Monday, May 30, 2016:
- 8:30 a.m. at Rock Springs Municipal Cemetery, 800 Thompson Street
- 9 a.m. at Sage View Care Center, 1325 Sage Street
- 9:30 a.m. at Veteran’s Park, 100 N Side Belt Loop
- 10 a.m. at the Rotary Flag, near the intersection of Dewar Drive and Gateway Boulevard
- 10:30 a.m. at Deer Trail Assisted Living, 2360 Reagan Avenue
- 10:30 a.m. Rest Haven Memorial Gardens, 250 Yellowstone Road
- 11 a.m. at the Memorial near the intersection of Elk Street and Grant Street
- 11:30 a.m. at the Eagles, 211 B Street
- 12 p.m. members will disperse to return the flags to full-staff
