No injuries were reported in a vehicle fire on Foothill Blvd. this afternoon.
Crews from Sweetwater County Fire District #1 were dispatched shortly after 2 p.m. to the report of a jeep on fire on Foothill Blvd. near Volcic Mobile Home Park.
Battalion Chief Dallas Buller said the blaze was put out within minutes of crews arriving, and no nearby vegetation caught fire as a result of the blaze.
The fire began in the engine compartment, and a quick response by fire personnel prevented the fire from spreading to the passenger compartment.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is still undetermined at this time.
Along with the response from Sweetwater County Fire District #1, the Sweetwater County Sheriff’s Office assisted with traffic control.
