The Sweetwater County Library’s March Mini Workshops are scheduled for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 12 at the library located at 300 N. 1st East in Green River.
During the workshops, stations will fill the library and present opportunities to learn and create something new. Those wishing to attend can drop by the library any time during the workshops.
The event is celebrating its fourth year. It began in 2013 and has become an annual tradition for the Sweetwater County community.
“We’re excited to be putting together the workshops again this year,” said Library Manager Jacquie Kramer in a release. “It will be a fun event for the whole family.”
Here’s a peak at the lineup of workshops:
- Altered Books – Learn how to turn old books into something new.
- Ballroom Dancing — Learn the basics of ballroom dancing.
- Make Butter – Learn to make butter with the help of a representative from the Sweetwater County Museum.
- Decorate Cupcakes – Turn plain cupcakes into rainbow fish, cowboy hats, or polar bear paw prints.
- Sachets – Create sachets with Mary Conley from Earthwise Herbal.
- Nerd Station – Make buttons and find out about the library system’s upcoming WyoCon.
- Fiber Crafts – Create a fun craft out of yarn.
- Zentangle Coloring – Relax and color a bookmark.
