Winter is a time that the temperature drops, snow falls, and people spend more time indoors. With this, colds and flus are spread more easily and often cause people to miss work, school, and other activities.
A program at the Sweetwater County Library in Green River will teach natural options for fighting colds and the flu.
Mary Conley, owner of Earthwise Herbal and Massage in Green River, will be presenting the program Battling Colds and the Flu Naturally. The program begins at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, January 19 at the library in Green River, 300 N. 1st East.
The event is the first in the library’s Let’s Get Metaphysical Series.
“Our Metaphysical Fairs have always been a hit,” said Reference Librarian Bianca Jorgensen in a press release. “We thought it would great to have breakout sessions based on some of the booths we offer at the fairs.”
Jorgensen organized the Let’s Get Metaphysical series.
Topics described as “metaphysical” are those relating to abstract thought or the unknown.
The Let’s Get Metaphysical series will be held at 7 p.m. on the third Tuesday of the month from January through May. Other upcoming dates and topics include:
Feb. 16: Dream Interpretation with Bianca Jorgensen
March 15: Reiki with the Rock Springs Reiki Group
April 19: Topic to be announced
May 17: Acupressure and Handwriting Analysis with Pete Applequist
The series is sponsored by the Sweetwater County Library System. For more information about library programs and events, drop by any Sweetwater County Library System location, visit sweetwaterlibraries.com, or follow the libraries on Facebook at facebook.com/sweetlibraries.
