Symptoms last for 12 to 36 hours and include nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea, according to a public service announcement from Sweetwater County Health Department. Such symptoms are often viral and can usually be treated at home by getting rest and drinking fluids.
The Sweetwater County Health Department recommends careful handwashing when preparing and eating food and after using the restroom to prevent further spread of the illness.
If you show symptoms of this gastrointestinal virus, the health department asks that you stay home until symptoms are resolved. If symptoms persists or become worse, seek medical attention.
