The Cliff Creek Fire has grown to an estimated 11,534 acres with 620 personnel fighting the blaze.
Resources at the fire include 16 crews with three Type 1 Helicopters (heavy), one Type 2 Helicopter (medium), three Type 3 Helicopters (light), 33 engines, and two dozers.
The fire is being actively suppressed with a mixture of ground crews and aerial resources. And is ten percent contained.
A red flag warning is in place for gusty winds, low relative humidity and warm temperatures. A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now or will shortly.
The evacuation order for the community of Bondurant has been lifted, but evacuations remain in place for the Granite Creek area including Granite Campground, Granite Hot Springs, Jack Pine Summer Homes, and the Safari Club.
As the Cliff Creek Fire spreads to the north and east, evacuation orders have expanded to include Granite Canyon in Teton County.
U.S. Highway 189/191 remains is expected to open at noon Friday. July 22.
A community meeting will be held at 6 p.m. on July 22 at the Pinedale Administration Building “Old Elementary School” in Pinedale.
The Cliff Creek fire was originally discovered on the Bridger-Teton National Forest approximately five miles north of Bondurant at about 2:30 p.m. Sunday, July 17. The blaze was caused by lightening.
