Father And Daughter Arrested On Drug Charges

A father-daughter pair was arrested in Rock Springs Monday night after a drug-sting operation by county detectives.

Sheriff Mike Lowell reports in a press release the arrest of Tammra E. Perry, age 44, and Robert L. Perry, Sr., age 68, of Gillette. 300x250_RMB

During a search of their hotel room, detectives assigned to the Sheriff’s Narcotics and Arrest Group (SNAAG)  allegedly found over an ounce of methamphetamine, a small amount of marijuana, an undisclosed amount of cash, digital scales, packaging materials and other related items consistent with the sale and distribution of illegal drugs.  The methamphetamine has an estimated street value of over $1,000.

Tammra Perry was arrested on two outstanding local bench warrants and is additionally charged with possession of a controlled substance (marijuana) and other traffic-related offenses.

Robert Perry is charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver (methamphetamine), possession of more than 3 grams of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and possession of not more than 3 ounces of controlled substance (marijuana).

Possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance (methamphetamine) carries a maximum possible penalty of imprisonment for not more than 20 years, a $25,000 fine, or both, and possession of more than 3 grams of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) is punishable by a term of imprisonment of not more than 7 years, a fine of $15,000 or both.

Sweetwater County Circuit Court Judge Craig Jones set bond for Tammra Perry on at $1,000 cash or surety.  As of press time, she remains in custody at Sweetwater County Detention Center.

Sweetwater County Circuit Court Judge John Prokos set bond for Robert Perry at $50,000 cash or surety.  He also remains in custody at Sweetwater County Detention Center as of press time.
