Drunk Driving Leads To One Vehicle Crash In Rock Springs

A Rock Springs man was injured Monday night after allegedly driving drunk and colliding with a guard rail.

Justin Hansen, 24, was issued five citations including driving under the influence, driving under suspension, failure to maintain lane, ignition interlock required and failure to maintain liability insurance, according to a release from the Rock Springs Police Department.RMB

Police were called to the scene of a one vehicle crash on the Hancock Bridge near Dewar Drive at about 9:30 p.m. on Monday. According to the release, an investigation found that Hansen was allegedly driving when he failed to negotiate a curve at the Hancock Bridge and struck the guard rail.

Hansen sustained injuries and was transported to Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County for treatment.
