It’s Caucus time in Wyoming, and Sweetwater County is gearing up for the the 2016 Sweetwater County Republican Party Precinct Caucuses.
The Caucus will be held at 6 p.m. on March 1 in room number 1302 at the Rock Springs Campus of Western Wyoming Community College, according to the Republican Party of Sweetwater County’s website www.sweetwatergop.org.
Doors will open for registration at 5:30 p.m. Keep in mind, you must be a registered Republican in Sweetwater County as of February 17, 2016 to participate in the Caucus.
The Republican Party of Sweetwater County website offers some tips for the registration process to run smoothly:
- Arrive Early
- Know your precinct number
- Attend wearing a name tag. Name Tags will be available at the event.
- Follow the sings to the registration table.
- Remember, it starts exactly at 6 p.m.
This Caucus will not be to vote for presidential nominations. The website lists the following functions of the Precinct Caucuses:
- Elect delegates and alternate delegates to the Sweetwater County Republican Convention to be held on Saturday, March 12, 2016.
- Propose and vote on platform planks, resolutions and bylaws to send on to County Convention.
